Wine Tasting Evening

Instead of our normal Rotary meeting, members and guests enjoyed a wine tasting at Sitwell Park Golf Club. We tasted 6 wines, 3 white and 3 red. Needless to say the spittoon didn't get any use and by the end of the evening the atmosphere was very convivial. We learned about the winemaking process including among other things primary and secondary fermentation, malolactic fermentation and carbonic maceration. After the wine tasting we enjoyed a very nice buffet put on by the Golf Club
