Community News and International Trip

Plastic Clever Schools - Recently Phil Crutchley and Peter Short had a meeting at Flanderwell School and invited the school to consider Plastic Clever class learning to encourage young children to engage in reducing the use of plastic.

The Eco Greenhouse has been ordered for delivery to Coleridge Primary School and a Team of keen Rotarians are standing by for the big erection! Past member Howard Hughes has also offered to help with this task as he has the tools! We are now collecting plastic bottles of the type shown. Please help if  can. The method of construction is shown in the attached pdf.

The International trip to Guernsey will be going ahead on the 24th of May. A very excited group of 14 Rotarians are going and we have a full agenda of fun planned. This will include evening drinks with a small but select group of Guernsey Rotary club members, a trip around the island with the wife of a Guernsey Rotarian who will show us all the sights! On the last evening we will have fish and chips on Cobo Beach and. watch the sun go down!
