Valentine's Evening with Partners and Guests

We had a very enjoyable Valentine's dinner last night, 13th February, at the Golf Club. As is the tradition, all of the ladies were presented with a red rose prior to the meal. A raffle with prizes donated by President Martin raised over £100 for our charities. We were entertained by a very talented Lucy who sang a medley of love songs appropriate for a Valentine's evening. Her cv includes an appearance on the tv programme "The Voice" when all four celebrities turned their chairs around when she started singing! She was subsequently mentored on the show by Tom Jones. That of course was the perfect introduction for our own Tom Jones, aka Roger Green (Welsh accent included) to entertain us with some very funny jokes. All in all it was an excellent evening and our thanks go to the Social committee including President Martin, Steve, Peter and Tom for all their hard work.
