Handover 2017

At last week's meeting, Anne Ogley ended her year as the club's first lady President; Andy Bates became our new President; Melanie Hughes became President Elect, and won the Terry English Award for services to the community; Trevor Johnson was given his certificate for 25 years membership of Rotary; and Andy Bates was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship - the highest award in Rotary, in recognition of his work in the local community, and his tremendous contribution to Music In The Gardens. Andy outlined a year where the emphasis will be on members enjoying themselves, alongside raising funds for charities and helping in the local community. The year started positively with a well attended Music In The Gardens; there are other social/ fund raising events over the next few months, and a significant local community activity next month (more about that on another occasion).
